Music legend Jools Holland has been announced as patron of charity Music v Cancer.

Holland said he's 'delighted' to take up his new role, adding 'it's a great cause and I love the concept of using the power of music to help in the fight against cancer'. The charity, which hosts benefit concerts and auctions signed music memorabilia to raise proceeds, has a strong focus on bowel cancer but plans to expand its awareness campaign to other cancers.
